Ah! The sweet smell of victory. Again, we prevailed in a tight defensive style game. The forwards came back and except for the 4 on 1 defensive lapse, we held them at at bay. This started when Charlie Risor, easily the prettiest Joker with his track pants and flowing locks, saw his reflection in the glass as he was skating back and he was a bit distracted. Fortunately, they failed to score.
Odd ball Paul Irving, the most misjudged but best loved misfit of the bunch, put on a passing display that left the huge crowd in shock. Sean Cullen's goal from the slot triggered his legendary "gay leap of joy". It's to be seen to be believed. Our leader, Marc Hickox failed to score in this game but paraded to the penalty box a time or two. He was also the most efficient Joker at his "shift ending return to the bench" routine. It's more a flying leap than it is a simple "open the door and sit down" kind of return.
Yours truly spent absolutely no time in the penalty box, hoping to set an example for the young fellows. Apparently, it didn't work. We weren't the most penalized team in this tournament but we took more than we usually do.
Tomorrow is the semi final game and if we win, we advance to the championship game. Check out the photo. It's seems clear to me that these two lonely and single Jokers need to be in a relationship. And soon.
