Each morning, the first thing I do when I sit at my desk, is look at new product. I'm checking to see what was listed the night before in the hopes that something will be appropriate for the buyer's I'm working with. As often happens as spring break approaches, the number of active listings is beginning to increase quite dramatically.
There has been quite a large number of buyers going through my open houses this year and every day, some of them find something to buy. As this supply of buyers decreases, the demand for new listings decreases. You see where I'm going with this.
It's that old supply and demand thing.... lots of listings, fewer buyers of course means a more balanced market. We're not even close to being a buyers market but the trend is beginning to shift a bit and this should take some of the pressure off those buyers who are feeling anxious and discouraged.
I'm telling all of them, "hang in there, you will be successful".
