For years now, I have been part of a group of entrepreneurs who meet for a full day, four times a year to work on our businesses. The organization is called Strategic Coach and the meetings are moderated by a skilled leader who also runs his own business.
If we're stuck at a certain level or have difficulty with a parricular business related issue, this is the time to deal with it. Major breakthroughs often occur on these days. We offer guidance and advice to each other and the results are significant.
Yesterday was one of those days.
There were two thoughts that triggered some great ideas. The first was the question posed to us when we arrived. "What would you give up to have a successful year?" I like this because it applies to every aspect of our lives.
The other is courtesy the president of Strategic Coach, Dan Sullivan. I'm paraphrasing but Dan writes.. "in business, there are two kinds of pain: short term and long term. We can choose which we experience."
