Computers have made selling real estate easier. I'm pretty sure that's true for most of us. Learning the systems and programs and the in's and the out's is a different matter. It would be so easy to sit here for hours each day and tinker with the sites and learn new stuff. Fact is, there's too many books I want to read and too many banjo tunes I want to learn to waste my time on line.
This is the dilema I find myself in when I consider adding icons and tricks and features to either my blog or my web site. I may be somewhat computer literate compared to many, but I try to keep my time spent on line to a minimum. I'm here to do a job and that's about it.
Therefore, I'm attracted to simple sites. Take the Google Canada site. It's clean and simple. I can get on, do what I have to do quickly, and log off. Bob's Your Uncle!
So, whenever I pick up the phone to call my computer guy, Rob Wark from MCS Interactive Media Inc., I slap myself and say, "no Duncan. Bad." There's no need to make the blog site or my web site any more busy than it already is. Visitors don't log on for the pretty icons. It's the content. All I want is for the content to be easy to find.
