In a previous entry, I told of a blogging panel I'll be part of while I'm at the RE/MAX International Conference in Las Vegas. In preparation for this, everyone on the panel participated in a conference call yesterday. I was pleased to finally meet our host, Verl Workamn and my fellow blogger and panel member, Linda Davis.
Verl was as charming and dynamic as I expected. He's a professional real estate trainer and educator and is keen to share the value of a blog with the registrants to the conference. Linda and I are looking forward to sharing our ideas with our fellow RE/MAX associates so it looks to be a terrific session.
Check out Linda's blog. It's everything a blog can be. Her reach is far and wide. Besides being interesting and colourful, it's informative, playful and very creative.
For example, I know nothing about Linda and I know even less about Conneticut real estate but after reading one simple entry about a conversation she had with one of her competitors, I learned a lot about her style (open and gracious), her history (been in the business 30 years) and the local real estate market (challenging). She told me all of this by sharing a simple anecdote.
The entry was not ego driven as many blogs are and yet much was said about her and her community.
Yup. I'm going to like being on this panel very much.
